For
thousands of years, in the Far East, acupuncture has been used by trained
health practitioners. The Western cultures were introduced to the concepts
of acupuncture in the early 1970's. The human body is basically energy
and has channels of energy connecting it together called energy meridians.
In acupuncture there are areas along these channels or meridians, that
have a different electrical conductivity called acupuncture points.
These points connect all the systems of the body together. These points
and channels can correspond to specific areas, systems and organs of
the body. Most of these channels have specific points located on the
ears, hands, and feet. We call these specific points CMP (Control Meridian
Points). Electrodermal testing is the name given to the procedure of
measuring the strength and relationship of the CMP to the systems of
the body. This method gives us an energy profile of the body.
